Agreed... ('course I'm biased)If I had a pre 71 with the V6 in it I would do whatever I had to do to keep it that way, but I would not swap for the V8 you have.
Also, I thought the T-98 was the optional (RARE) 4-speed tranny behind the Dauntless Buick 225 V6 . My FSM lists a T-18 as an option for the V-6, but I've NEVER seen any 4-speed Transmission from the factory besides the T-98 behind the 225. T-18 's, the first gear sychro'd T-19, and the SM-420 can be made to work very well, but need tranny and Transfer Case adapters. Gotta pay attention to the the model of T-18 and T-19. Look thru the Advance Adapter and Novak online catalogs for some good additional info.
