350 Swap - Which bellhousing?

Can I use an SR4 bellhousing with a Chevy 350 and T-176 ? More specifically, the bellhousing used on the 4-cyl Iron Duke motors. Will the Transmission bolt up? Will the input shaft length be OK?

I do not remember if the 4cly has the same bolt pattern or not, The SR4 Transmission is an early variant of the T-4 and you will have to look at the bell housing to see if it has both bolt patterns or not see attached site for much more info on swapping GM engines in Adapting Chevrolet & GM Engines to the Jeep T176 Transmission

yes you can. im using a SR4 bellhousing froma iron duke. you have to drill and tap 4 new holes. the SR4 has a smaller pattern than the T-176 . the shafts are the same length and everything.
