4 Pole round to 4 flat...

I bought a set of expensive Grote tow lights and they came with a 4 pole round plug. Who uses a 4 pole round!?!?!?

Anyway, my wires after cutting that off are blue, brown, black and half green/half yellow. What splices in with what on a standard 4 pole yellow? I can't find a diagram with my colors on it.

Yes, I can sit behind the vehicle and figure it out but I'd like to do it tonight in the living room... ;-)

Look at this wiring guide from Hopkins - This tells which wires are what function on both 4 pole round and 4 pole flat. Do you still have a little wire left on the round plug - I hope so. Instructions with your lights maybe?

The Hopkins products have the function printed right on each wire.

Yes I left a bit of a pigtail on the round one just in case. I'll figure it out tonight. There's only so many options. I just think that for $70 lights they should have standard wiring colors and ANY plug but a 4 pole round ya know?

Good, that plug is keyed, so you should be able to figure it from the link I sent. That was the biggest complaint on the website for your lights, they said that wreckers use the 4 pole round as standard, but why not standard trailer wire colors… bad I agree
