I was thinking about keeping this all original, but don't get the hiway speed I want. What would be the best engine/tranny combo. Or what could I do to what I have to get 60-65 mph out of it?

I don't think there is much you can do even with an Overdrive on flat road to get that kind of speed out of the F-134. (Maybe not even down hill!)

I would suggest you fill out the rest of your profile with your CJ drivetrain info (D25 or D27 and Dana 44 ?, axle ratios, do you have an Overdrive ?, tranny/xfercase - T-90 -D18?, wheel and tire info and anything else you can think of). It would make it a lot easier for folks to make useful suggestions if they know what you are running.

A common engine swap for CJ's of that era was the Dauntless Buick 225 V6 that was an option in CJ's from that period (I have one factory intalled in my '67 CJ5 ). There are other engine swaps...how big is your budget and let's see what all you are running now...
