1985 CJ7 with a shot 2.5 four banger and a 4 speed. All original and bone stock.
Has anyone on here put a GM 700R4 tranny in a Jeep or ever seen one in a Jeep? I'm planning on putting A 700R4 behind a 350 Pontiac in my 85 CJ7 . I already know all of the problems and fixes for the Transmission , I'm just wondering about drive line angle and leingth. I'm only lifting it 2" if that helps. Oh and I'm putting the Dana 300 case on the end of the tranny.

Just curious, how are you going to get the 700 bolted up to a pontiac ?

There is an adapter plate on the market for this. As for the torque converter, it'll bolt directly to the Pontiac flex plate.
