Another dumb Question : Will a 1977 CJ5 windshield frame fit on a 1973 CJ5 tub ? The angle would be the only difference , right? wrong ?

Angle, width and where the windshield wiper motor is located will be different. '75 wiper motor is on the outside, '76 and newer are on the inside.

Thanks Hedgehog,I think that's the info I needed. The 76 and newer will angle more towards the dash ? I have a 73 cj and the windshield frame has seen better days. Might be able to pick up a frame and glass from a 77 for cheap ! Just needed to know if it would work on a 73 without to much modification

I have a '78 windshield frame on my '70 CJ5 so I can run a '78+ Acme CJ5 hard top. The windshield angle is different so if you have '73 doors already they probably won't work. Half doors will work. You have to use a complete windshield setup including complete wiper assembly, mounting hardware, wiper control switch (mounted on dash to match up the wiring to the wiper motor) and I even changed out the lock down setup on the dash to the '78 screw type. Works great and the larger glass size is noticeable. Even my Acme doors fit correctly.
