Needed a rear bumper to go along with the front! Took 3/16 Flat steel, had it bent into a channel just a hair narrower than the rear cross member. Had a center square cut to fit a 2" receiver. Welded in the receiver, fabbed two mounting brackets that were about centered with the frame rails, reinforced the cross member with some triangulated bracing, welded in two 1/2" clevis holders, a little sanding, prime, paint, and installed. It only added about 1" (not counting he receiver) to the overall length. Picture is not the best....

Looks good is that a fiberglass tub? And what do you do about a spare tire? :)

Yes-Glass Tub. The PO had some contraption rigged up that included a piece of angle attached the tub, the welded pieces to that and to the rear cross member. It was a mess-and I removed/cut it off. My plan is to incorporate an A frame for the spare and weld to the bumper. I put a jack under the left end of the new bumper and picked up the jeep-no bumper flex that I could see-so it should be strong enough.

The bumper looks real good.

Hey-thank you! Hope to get the spare tire /can / jack holder made soon!
