74 CJ5 steering box
Wanted to give a quick update on my CJ (Father son project). The Summit racing seats are installed. My opinion, for around $50.00 these are Great Options. Had to fab some brackets, but otherwise, highly recommend these seats. The steering had ridiculous play in it -like 4-5 inches in both directions . I am no steering front end expert so I took it to a mechanic. He was able to cut the play down to about 1/2 of what it was. I opt'd to just have him replace the whole steering box. Should be finished and ready to pick up this Sat-I will post some pics. Man, the steering box is expensive $250.00 core charge. Money well spent IMO. These things are skittery enough under the best conditions!!!
