74 trail jeep needs help

I am trying to get my 74 CJ5 trail worthy. Other than a 4" lift and 35" BFG MT's it is stock. (purchased it with the lift and tires) I am looking for direction on what I would need to replace/purchase to help get it trail ready. not looking to do crazy crawling, just be prepared in rough terrain. thank you for the help.

The biggest thing would be the right gearing than skid plates, rocker guards, good bumpers with hooks or d-rings, good winch.
that would be a start.

Lockers are nice, but remember...they get you into places you then have to get out of

It is important to remember that cell phones don't always have coverage and at best the range on a CB is about 5 miles. If you really want to reach and touch someone Ham radio is the way to go, however, that is not always fool proof.

It is also more fun to wheel with good company.

Many (most) of the places I wheel dont get cell reception. And many of the Issues that happen offroad can turn catastrophic very quickly. Im not talking about a simple flat tire or being stuck in the mud.

Off-roading can turn dangerous in a second. I am a very experienced off-roader as are the members of my club and there isn't one of us that will go out there alone.
