Hello everyone thx for reading. My buddy is in serious trouble with his '79 CJ5 . He is currently unemployed and has asked me to help, which I am doing free of charge. The only problem is that I have not worked on a lot of jeeps in my time. Let me start by explaining his situation. He has a '79 CJ5 w/ a AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l I6. He had a Holley Pro-Jection F.I. system put in and it has not run right since the swap. It will run fine in lower (45-50 degrees) temperatures, but dies out in warmer weather. He wants me to re-swap the F.I. for the original Carter BBD 2-barrel carb setup. My thoughts are that the F.I. would be better off diagnosed and fixed rather than swapping back to carb. I just don't know enough about the original swap to properly diagnose and fix the issue, and I would be greatly appreciative of anyone who has any experience or insight as to what I may check/troubleshoot before I get in over my head. Thx in advance, DIYDoug.

I know zero about the Holly injection but would start looking to see if they have product support at all, the other FI (Howell/Hesco-Mopar) guy's have great support.

Thx 4 responding, I am knee deep in holley "support" and am trying to wade through to find something useful. Will re-post if I find anything useful. LOL

hello again, sorry for the delayed responses. my buddy's jeep had been impounded and it took him awhile to get it out. it is being towed to my garage soon and i will get a chance to check some stuff out. I found a great holley support article and need to do some troubleshooting. will repost soon. thx for reading

The 1D manual is online free.

If it was not setup right, it's not too hard to run through the manual. Step by step.

Run through it and see how it runs, then be more specific and I might be able to help. I love my Holley.
