picked up a new alternator for the cj this last week, and a new battery, hooked it all up, but only sitting at 12.1v even under load its not moving, which i believe is not charging, im not too sure what it might be, i dunno, anyone have this issue before? its a delco 3 wire, 2 wire plug, and then one wire bolts to the back,

You could run a jumper wire from the alternator housing to the battery negative to test the ground. It could be a weak line thru the fusible link. Taking it to a local auto electrical shop for a test would verify if it works.

Double check the thin brow wire coming out of the pulg. I havent read up on it in quite a while but I beleive its a signal wire to tell the regulator to kick on. It has no power to it with the jeep off but once the altenator is tur nit gets power. I beleive it is some how wired into the Batt light on the dash. If your wire is broken or damaged it wont let the regulator kick in and you should only get the 12volts.

Again Iapologize if Im not 100 on the info.. but I would definately look into that wire.
