86 carb swap help

Hi all

I have an 1986 CJ7 with a AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l in it and the stock carb. In a local bone yard i found what i beleive is an 82 CJ7 with a carb set up on it that does not have all the electronic bs my stock one does. Will this carb just swap right on or do i need the whole intake set up? Its a pick and pull so the prices are right just need to know how much i should pull.

I had an '82 CJ7 with a AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l . That engine had a lot of BS on it from the factory for emissions. I am scared to answer your question because I don't know what the PO of the jeep at the salvage yard did to his engine. Maybe he removed a lot of emissions equipment and had a hard time getting it to run right. (maybe it never did run right).
Sorry I don't have a simple answer.
