Ran into a snag my brand new heater core leaks!! Tore the hater box out and found thst the fitting wasnt soldered right so out came the torch and solder sorry no pictures but its fixed now

Finished Welding up my new roll cage today.

Sweet idea! While my daughters jeep is back I'm gonna add one for her.

When you do it I would recommend that you put it on the line that goes to the rear brakes just Incase you have problems with it or have a leak. Most of your breaking power comes from the front wheels.

As another option I used a 3000 psi Parker ball valve about $25 as I recall. Well built.

So true to my nature I have done a ton of work on my jeep again but no posts of what Im doing tell almost done.
First off I have a cut to 60 1/2 wide J10 Dana 44 for the front. With a Detroit locker ford outer hubs with a set of chevy flat top knuckles with high steer. Conecting all that is a ruffstuff one ton steering. On to the back I have a grand wagoneer rear axle with dutchman axle shafts I had built to fit match the wheel pattern of the front. More to come about what Im up to.

Nice upgrade!

Ok a little back story on all that I have done. First I’ll start with the Dana 44 front axle. A couple years ago I ran across a cut down Dana 44 that I was told was from a Cherokee. Was told it was cut down to CJ7 wide track. Oh boy was I in for it!

I get this cut down Dana 44 axle home. Mock it up find out its around 4 inches wider then the Dana 30 I have under my jeep. Well :dung: not a fan of spacers at all. So on the hunt I go for a wider rear axle housing. Took a few trips to junk yards to find the right axle. Ended up finding one that was just about right. ( 58 3/8 wide ) came out of a 89 jeep grand wagoner that had the tow package from the factory.

Thanks CJ!
More about the front axle. Have to give a shout out to Posi for helping ID this housing. With his help find out it came out of a 78-79 J10 truck.

I decided to go YJ springs with my SOA. With that came a challenge to make the steering work right. High steer with chevy one ton steering is how I tackled this.

I decided to see what I was working with on caster.

Caster came out to 5 1/2 degrees after welding perches on.
