On the chair, my guess is yes. I have a creeper that converts to a chair. Saves my back and knees when not needing to get under the vehicle.

The chair, 
I was picking on "yellowCJ85", he has what looks like a HF chair in one of his pictures. That very day I was looking at them so I got a chuckle out of one being in a picture. Also, the question was legitimate.

My replacement is also thicker than the old stock cross member. It will be used along with brackets similar to what Ywllow85C did to hold everything together.
Took Friday off and started building my new bumper. Oh my god is steel getting expensive. My small pile of raw steel cost $207. I wanted to get some 3/8" steel, they only had 1/4" so I used that. Constructing the bumper went very well. The only problem is, OMG 1/4" steel is VERY heavy. I'm worried that the unboxed frame on the '75 CJ won't hold the weigh. I'm looking at finding a plasma cutter to put the bumper on a serious diet. IE cutting the bottom out of the 2x6 bottom, read step, tube. Then skeletonizing the back of the 2x4 main tube, leaving mounting sections. I was worried about strength, but this is 1/4" steel we are talking about here. ..... Hmmm, confusing, probably, the build will be written up a little later. Some bugs along with the weight problem need to be worked out.
