Need help with air conditioning options for my 84 CJ. I'm swapping my I6 for a Chevy 350 with 700R4 tranny. Can I go with OEM unit or do I need to look for an aftermarket unit? Websites, etc? Thanks for the help.

The only difference will be the brackets for the mounting of the compressor to the engine. Might be able to get that at junk yard.

Best and cheapest to use all the OEM stuff that either came with the 350 or you can find..................but before you do that you should drop the motor in and see how much clearance there is for the accessories. .............Plenty of aftermarket drive kits available out there for street rods and such where space is premium.......some kits mount the AC pump passengers side either low or high and even seen some go on the drivers side........It's a moving target where you have to plan way ahead to get the final results you want..........
