Three of us were on a road trip in one of my Jeeps. The guy in the back was our self appointed navigator. He wasn’t very good at it. Much like a 2nd Lt with a compass.
After sending us 100+ miles out of our way he decided to use his phone then provide turn by turn directions.
A few minutes later he said “Turn right at the next intersection.” I replied... “Yeah, I figured that out because of the huge barricade”. The road was blocked and the only option was to turn right.
For several minutes I keep watching him in the mirror frantically looking in every direction like someone was chasing us. Finally I had to ask... “What the **** are you doing?” He said... wait for it... “I’m looking for the bear cave!”
True story! I can’t make this stuff up.
It’s not his fault. He joined the USMC so “once a Marine, always a Marine. It can’t be fixed.
