- 1978 CJ7...pretty much stock.304 motor,3sp man.tranny....just kept as a cruising the countryside.rain or shine...everyone here knows the power of the Jeep.
i just purchased a pair and were told they had been on a 1979 CJ7 .i have a 1978 CJ7 ,so i thought no problem.i asked for the strikers as well.the holes didnt line up,so drilled new ones.the latches on these have a pincher type lock to latch.the drivers side needs totally replaced i think.passenger side fine.where or what methods are to fix this?i'd rather just replace it and be done with it...otherwise put them on the market...thanks for any and all suggestions......
