i recently got a 1983 scrambler. the carb on it only has a 4in air filter. my question is on the intake manifold there is a hole where the dryer vent looking hose should go to the original air assembly box, but i dont have that. what normally do you do with this as i see a lot of people no longer have the factory air filter assemblies on there jeeps?

The miniature “dryer hose” takes heat from the exhaust manifold up to the bottom of the stock air cleaner cover to provide warm air during start up and is part of the TAC system. Without a stock air filter horn your only option is to pitch the hose and ignore it. No vacuum will be lost.
