"Sponshership" ( & fake sponshership by pretenders) for anything but professional race cars is yet another primarily left coast trend that I hope dies a quick and painful death with the ricer sqaud. It is right up there with giant wings and bed-space robbing "stacks" among ridicoulous auto trends.

Best Regards,
Mark Bunner.
Hiring Manager,
Monster Energy Drink®

<snip>

cdib.gov.my

my == country code for Malaysia
gov == government
cidb == construction industry development board

If Mark Bunner's really a hiring manager for Monster Energy Drink, and his email address really is halim @ cidb.gov.my then Monster Energy Drink is not what it appears.

Or... the message is complete bunk. Perhaps Halim really upset someone and this is that person's way of getting Halim annoyed, if not fired.

I vote door number two. Or would that be door number three?

It does suck sponsoring yourself though doesnt it? :censored:

Run all your this kind of stuff by me. Unfortunately Ive spent too much time behind the monitor instead of the wheel. :driving: For me the problem is when I deal with a dishonest Jeeper. I have a harder time picking them out cause Im usually just involved in the conversation and my guard is down. Id get relaxed and not think about things.

Case in point. When I shipped the Scrambler to CJ I was intent on making things as easy as I could for him. I offered to put the title in the glove box (signed of course :rolleyes:) so the Jeep and title would both arrive at the same time. He stated something about not wanting the Scrambler and the title to be together and not show up? Hes picky like that.:laugh:

It would be nice to have all my transactions be as seamless as my one with Cj. It was easier shipping the Scrambler to him from Pa to Ga than it is dealing with some Craigslist idiots 15 minute away.

Let me know if you want me to start rambling... :)

:laugh: Pete you crack me up!

They sent me another one, so this time i created a new google e-mail (so they wouldn't sign me up for ever singles site and porn shop mailer on the web (since then have a lot of freetime) on my normal e-mail.

Sent him this reply:

Oh yes very interested!

Please send me my fake check to cash and send funds to your fake agent! Then I can take a picture, put it on my facebook page and act like a "balla-shock-collar" and ultimately frame it as the money I always could have had if I was dumber than rocks!

Thanks! Look forward to hearing from you!

Which obviously my name is not justin, and my email address is: findanothervictim@__

So now that I've sent it... I need some help from the paranoid as well. How does one ensure that an IP address is not tracked through gmail and the scammer i just p'ed off (or on) lol

:dung: I just had the CJ5 wrapped in a feminine product name add and paid them the $1200 up front and now my first check is already late!

Since you already have the bogus email address, play with them. Send them an email stating you are interested and see how far it goes.

Obviously, like you said, they probably dont even read them, they just keep sending more :dung:.. But its fun to lead them on.

I wouldnt be totally suprised if they actually send you a check (worthless)... Just make sure you use a fake name and your neighbors mailing address... LOL
