So I just took apart my AMC20 drum brakes on my 79 CJ7 , they were due for a change. I didn't put this axle together originally. The drivers side seems to be completely missing the parking brake lever that attaches to the rear shoe and the spreader/equalizer bar. What the heck? There's a parking brake cable going in through the backing plate, but nothing to attach it to. Was this ever normal, or was this simply a lazy redneck who did the previous brake job? LOL Furthermore, where the heck can I get this part? Rockauto doesn't have it, many of the 4x4 sites seem to only have the lever up to 1978 for 11" drums but these are 10". Kinda stumped.

Last kit I got that had it came from NAPA

Ran into the same thing regarding size, and have heard of others running into the same problem. First set I got were 11s...had to return and swap out for 10s

Not sure what the story is with that...almost like AMC used what they had left on hand and switched sizes midstream
