This was my first Jeep and I missed it . So now I have a 1970 CJ5 project. Show some M38A1 's . It is the birth of the CJ5 ....

Very cool page !

Under Construction...

Engine builder just completed an engine overhaul
We put all new brakes/springs, wheel cylinders last week
New Brake lines waiting to be installed
Transmission and Transfer Case rebuilt
Still have LOTs to do
Any one know why this one has a windshield that is one piece. Had the wrong engine in it-we found the period correct engine (civilian though, not military) so the PO probably changed the windshield frame as well. When we got it, the windshield was plexiglass!!!????

attached pictures of what it looked like when we picked it up (yellow was terrible), Went with olive drab, will post updates ASAP....

Looks like it was a city or fire jeep. A lot of M38A1's where used for city & fire jobs .

looks like a city or state seal on the rear corner.
