It's been shutting off while driving and yesterday it just stop turning on. New battery and made sure it isn't fuel. Checked all cables in harness and all is OK. New ignition coil and control module. Distributor is about 7 months old. Found no spark to the plug wires. MAYBE IT'S THE PICK-UP COIL????:wtf:

i have heard people on other sites say they have had new modules go out a few weeks after they bought them. take it to a parts store that can test them just to rule it out.

If you have a auto shop near you see if they can test distributors. They used to be able to bench test them and tell you right away.Pick up coil was about 60 bucks last I knew and were a pretty reliable item.Course everything being made elsewhere doesn't help anymore either. You have any warranty on the dizzy. Also grounds and connections might be a culprit.Saying your dizzy is new it could have a bad gear.Is it turning?

On the GM HEI pickup coils, they can be tested at any parts store. Ive seen them go bad in short and long times. Some times after they sit they come back to life and once current goes through they act up again. Just my 2cents, hope this helps. Im sure theres a test you can go eith an "Volt meter" Try google and someone should have a test and values.

cool, Thanks.... today is the day i need my jeep fixed...:chug:

I feel like a dummy!!!

The cable from ignition to distributor was corroded in the distributor. Cleaned it and started right up. WHAT A RELIEF!!!!
Next stop, MUD PILE :madjeep:

and maybe a few rocks...:D

So, got new spark plugs, wires, distributor cap and the battery terminal on the positive side was loose so i bought a new cable and everything. its cold and raining so im loving this winter time!!!! :chug:
