Anybody work nights? I rotate every 4 weeks from working days and nights.

Been awhile, but when I was a Cop I loved working nights. I could get across town very quickly due to no traffic, the brass wasn't around, they were all sleeping, and I could become almost invisible in the dark. In the Military the dark is your friend! As I continue to get older :bang: it's getting harder to stay awake past 9!

I seem to work better on nights too, but now being older and having a family, it makes it hard to do stuff sometimes.

Im working nights again, looks like it will be awhile before someone retires so I can get a day shift position

I am now an industrial mechanic, I was an aircraft mechanic prior to this job, i was not able to find an aircraft job local so this industrial mechanic position opened up that has been a real blessing for me and my family. I keep the production equipment running which includes pumps, conveyors, vacuum systems, most of the stuff is controlled by PLCs so I am having to learn that stuff. And of course the whole plant runs on 480 volts :eek: and it's a small shop of mechanics with me being lowest seniority

Nice, sounds like a decent gig

:chug::chug: I got lots of parts to buy as well, finally have an NV4500 for mine....... Speaking of which time to go to work

For the Cj? What all are you doing to it?

Frame off, on 35" Goodyear dura tracs Dana 44 front Dodge 9.25 rear Detroit true tracs 3.91 gears spring over AMC 360, NV4500 Dana 300 with4-1 gears 32 spline outputs twin sticks........ Working on the NV at the moment, I didn't realize that it's an early model 6.34 when I bought it. I finished loading the 23 spline main shaft last night and am waiting on money for the advanced adapters bell housing so I can button up the Transmission
