Anyone have any idea what a Swap

of TJ sport steps to a 77 CJ5 might entail? A friend wants to give me his steps, and I need something at least temporarily. I assume they bolt to the frame. And the only real question is drilling? Am I thinking correctly?

I'd drill holes for them to mount up, after I mocked them up on jackstands or something. Only thing I know of (aside from possibly body mounts being in different spots) is that the TJ frames are a little wider. So the steps might not hang out from under your door quite as far unless you build up some kind of spacer for it. Take pics and write it all up!

Took a look at the sport steps....Cheeeeeeeeeeesey. Way to much formed plastic. No way. Bad idea. I am going to fabricate a knock off smittybilt rocker guard with square steps.
