Im guessing they are a knock of of the old BFG Mud terrains. Wildcat EXT made by the Dean Tire and Rubber Company. Anyone?

I believe Dean is/was owned by Cooper Tire. I haven't seen those Wildcats in several years.

Yes, Dean is made by Cooper. These look like a cross between Duratrac's and Mud Terrains - not that it's derogatory, just saying they look similar.

Cooper makes good tires at good prices. And yes they market their tires under lots of names. I have some Big O tires on my truck that are made my Cooper. Like'm.

big 10-4 on that.

all i buy is cooper tires..they are the beeest

Those look kinda familiar to me...

Work well on a light CJ too and the 31X10.50-15's fit a stock vehicle!:chug:

From what I gather the Wildcat EXT was an older style tire that was discontinued. The Cooper SST looks to be the best for my needs if I decide to go that way.

I've never heard of the cooper sst :D I've had 3 sets of the stt. One set on my truck got 30000 miles out of them (f350 powerstroke), two sets on my work truck. They don't last very long on oil field roads 15000 miles and there toast.

Without starting a religious discussion on tires, I see A LOT of worn out Cooper tires (including the 3 left on my Expedition). There could be several reasons for that, but from my experience - they just don't last well on a daily driver, but for great performance on a specialty vehicle they're hard to beat if price is a consideration.

I do NOT think they're junk or anything like that, but I do think there are a lot of tires out there that wear better. I do like the "stance" of most Cooper tires. They seem a little fatter than most tires of the same size, but that may also contribute to the quicker wear I seem to see.

That said, tire discussions are a lot like oil discussions - everybody has an opinion and most won't be swayed by someone else's, so run what you like.

Originally I just posted up the question thinking I could grab 2 of the Wildcats. Since time travel isnt really an option I looked at other Coopers.:) The rear tires on mine are some pretty worn Xterrains. Personally Id like some Goodyear Muds or Baja MTZs.

I have cooper discoverer ATR on my dd f150 and have 65000 on them. And just put cooper discoverer at3 on my wife's suburban

Although when they start wearing out they do fall apart.

The Goodyear's seem to be priced good.
The MTZ's are getting a little pricey. I do like mine though.
