Anyone used the genright tank

Hi all,

Looking for some feedback on the genright enduro 20 gal tanks GenRight's Jeep CJ Extended Range Gas Tank

Has anyone on here put one in their CJ7 and how has it gone for clearance and overall

People on this forum usually reply quickly if they have any experience with the question asked. I was hoping for a reply here myself but evidently no one has any experience with this particular tank.

No feedback for you, except that after reading through the description and the fact it will provide same factor clearance as stock CJ tank, sounds like quite the deal. :drool:

I don't know anyone personaly that has one, but I've heard they make a good product.
I was looking at there stretch tank awhile back. I just can't make myself pay that much for a gas tank. I'm cheap that way sometimes.

I have thought about using that tank myself, but I got a 20 gal plastic tank for a lot less. But you reuse the stock skid plate. All dented. I just can't swallow the price, yet!

They sure are proud of their gas tanks!! Retail at $899...?? DAMN!!

Same as Purple... I picked up a stock 20 gallon poly tank from an 80's CJ and bolted it right up to my 79... I think I got it for $60 from a yard. I've heard good things about them, but personally I could never justify spending that kind of $$$, even if I had the $$$ to throw at that project.

Thats the option I wish I had but down under there aint that many CJ's and even fewer with 20gal tanks and even less in junk yards

My options are

1. get a custom built tank at about $1100 AUD
2. Get one of these Genright tanks at about $1100AUD (shipping kills)

I have tried looking around for other tanks the right size but most tanks are too wide if you have any suggestions on other tanks that it in 20gal + size our distances here are too big and hate carrying jerry cans

If youre simply wanting more fuel available in tank, how much do you like the room under the drivers seat? I have 11 gal tank there and factory 15 gal in rear... Thats 26 gal + 2 5 gal jerrycans... Would give you 36 gal...
