Auto trans swap

Hi guys just seein if i could get a little help here i have a 76 CJ7 with a AMC 232 i6 and T-15 i was wanting to put in a auto Transmission but wasnt sure what i had to choose from that would bolt up and hold up to some abuse! Then what Transfer Case to use any suggestions would be much appreciated

A popular swap is the tf 999 with a Dana 300 Transfer Case . I dont have much time right now but I'll check back later tonite. Someone else will probably chime in.

Ok. What kind of abuse? High rpm mud running , slow rock crawling? I think either way Id use the above with a good tranny cooler. Rock crawling the Dana 300 is good , but Id probably go with a 4 to 1 low range then.

mainly just muddin and i typically run around 5000-6000 rpm

Give mylittle CJ5 a pm. I believe hes the mud bogger type. Im more rock crawler style.
