back seat install

need some advice...trying to install back seat. There are two attachment "hooks" in the front that line up with the brackets on the seat...but the rear attachment bracket doesn't extend far enough back to meet the threaded hole.....see photos...wondering if 1.) anyone has had this issue and just attached the rear bracket and rested the bottom of the seat on the "hooks"? 2.) also wondering if maybe the seat that came with it was a CJ5 ?

Your pics looks like you have a folding rear seat rather than a fixed stock seat. The stock fixed seat had two "feet" at the front and a full width bracket at the rear. A folding rear seat has the two brackets with pins like your pics show, and then a latching hook at the back center, along with some rubber "feet" or bumpers at the rear corners (depending on brand).
