bang/knock from tranfer case
hi, im new to this whole jeep thing. wanted one forever, and i finally got one. love it except for one thing. seems to drive fine until i put it into 4wd (high or low). i get a loud knocking/banging noise coming from the tcase. thought it might have been front u joints at first, but does it with front driveshat out. its rotational related, and i can feel it through the 4wd lever. im sure ive got to go into the case, but i was just curious if anyone had any ideas on what the noise might be. it has the T-5 with the Dana 300 . everything ive read says that the tcase is very strong, so its makin me wonder what happened in there. any suggestions would be very helpful. thx.
