I'm guessing the majority of us on here are woodsy types. . . backpackers, hikers, hunters, campers, fisherman, etc.

Unfortunately I've never seen anything unexplainable like a sasquatch or bigfoot, but I've talked to people who have had some strange experiences or sightings of something out there.

Just for fun, I'm wondering if anyone's interested in sharing their story or experience if they've had one. . .

I'll share what happened to my Dad many years ago in the Idaho Rockies. I'll make it short, but when he tells it right, around a campfire it sends shivers down your spine.

He was in a tent with a couple friends sleeping, in the MIDDLE OF NOWHERE, during a driving rain storm, in the middle of the night, when all three of them woke up to the sound of their tent door being unzipped! They all could make out the shape of a head poking into the tent. It seemed to look about for a few seconds, then pulled back, and then zipped the tent door back shut.

He never did find out what or who it was. He's always joked that it must have been a sasquatch, cause he can't believe a human being would have been up there in the middle of the night in the rain looking in a random tent.

Anyone else?

My big foot story is a little different
we were real deep into the woods wheeling in the sierras, I have to admit we had drank a couple of 5ths or more between the 5 of us that night and were snoring heavily we pass out around 4 am
about 6 am next morning we wake up and sure enough the peyote is still working strong and we watch as Sasquatch walks through the camp right in front of our eyes, not 5 feet from us. Suddenly I hear the sound of a 78 CJ5 being turned off and this guy ask who called for the plumbing bid.
I shook my head to make sure I was not being effected by the previous nights celebration, looking strait into the eyes of Sasquatch like that can make you wonder.
We he was back from town and had fresh ice for Margaritas so what could we say, we all got up, Petes CJ started making breakfast, CJ mixed a new batch of Magi's and I shot the bull with IO Port for a bit till we figured out the trout would be biting in the lake we were camped next to. And we all went down to wet a fly line.
Funny how those stories go isn't it?

sorry, I had to, it was to much temptation having a member named Sasquatch and reading the original post.
I have been smiling all day yesterday thinking about it.
