First real snow we've had in a couple years! 6"+ up around us, and 40-50 mph winds are blowing it all around today! Think I'll go out and play!

Or the boat(s)? :D

Now, the flamingo I understand - but inquiring minds want to know about the dinosaur...

You gonna use the jeep or the snow covered bike? :D

Hahaha! I figured I'd get some flak on the bike, I forgot to cover it last night!

The Flamingo, Dinosaur, and the frog (buried in the snow by the dino) are all part of a quest by my wife, to aquire all the animal decorations that really have nothing to do with xmas... an honorable quest, there is also a T-rex, a pig and a girraffe, and a duck and an alligator still to aquire, but she's well on her way! LOL

I will keep an eye out for the rest of her collection down here in my neck of the woods!

This won't be too expensive Dear! That's what I keep saying. Over and over again.

my power went out around 2315, didnt get it back till around 1300... but it WAS fun to drive the diesel around in it. found out my used mud tires arent near as good as i thought. need to find another pair.

but days like today make me wish the ol jeep was running. ugh

I busted some drifts outside of town for a while, but it was hard to see. Drove around along the river bottom roads for a while then went home. I was out a couple of hours. That included a stop or two to talk with friends.

Well you just sent some of that white stuff up North.

We only got the -10F tonight. :D

all i know is the roads need to clear just enough so i can get to town. need some 10g wire to finish up this msd upgrade

Today was the coldest day yet, 37 this morning. You could even see your breath!

I would not know how to act in that weather. And some of you would probably melt here in the summer. :D

 this morning it was 20 deg with a 18 mph wind that made it feel like 1 deg. The wind is killer when its real cold.

You know whats bad, I really came in the house and told my wife that :D. We get excited about any weather change in the Phoenix area, other than hot.

You should see all the accidents when we get rain (sprinkles). They say we can't drive on wet roads, but I really think it's all the rubber necking just looking at water falling from the sky.

You guys can't drive in the rain?? Please tell everyone there, to not visit Iowa in the winter... LOL! This was a brief moment of clarity today, it was usually a complete white out.. winds were beyond 40 mph, my wife was white knuckled all the way to town... she was a trooper though, and never said a word.. :D

Thought this was pretty cool, you can barely see it, but there was a rainbow halo that completely circled the sun.. we call the brighter spots on either side of the sun, "sun dogs", and they usually appear during extreme cold weather... never seen this complete halo before, I figure with all the blowing snow in the air, it kind of acted like sun through rain...

It's flat enough there if you stand on a soup can you can see the back of your head. I've drive through some of Iowa it's very boring :(

No hills, no trees except around a farm house or a river valley, just wide open flat land.. I think I've mentioned this before, but from just south of the town I live in, at night, you can see the red strobe lights that flash on top of the wind towers that are 30+ miles away... and then just beyond that, is the back of my head.. LOL!

You gotta cone up for the fall ride...nothing like riding a trail and hanging out the drivers side looking down 3000 feet to the bottom of a gulch...
