I have a 83 CJ5 and the PO welded in some 1/4" plate on the body for mounts. They cut holes in the floor to access the mounts behind the front seat. All the other mounts. The other 6 mounts are small pieces of channel iron, and you can get to the nut through the end of it. My question is, are there replacement panels for the mounts or if not is there a better way to repair these mounts? Or do I need to just deal with the eyesore?

Some pics would really help to see exactly what you are describing.

Just took some pictures of the mounts and I am having trouble finding the link to post pics.

The front 3 on both sides (6 total) are all on the same plane. The rear sits about 1/4" off the rear frame cross member. Most of the individual replacement parts can be found here: Classic Enterprises - Restoration, Reproduction Parts for Studebaker, Jeep & Ford

I dont want to replace the whole body. I would like to just replace sections, if possible. For some reason the spots where the body mounts is the only place I have rust, besides a lil surface rust. I dont know if the PO took the body off and could not get the bolts out, so he cut them out, or if they just rusted thru.

What I was showing you was what it is supposed to look like. The link in the post has the single pieces to see what they look like as well.
