anybody have an idea what specific bolt pattern for a 73 CJ5
every thing i have found has said 5x5.5 but measured and it measures about around 5x5.25 just wondering if anyone has bought aftermarket wheels what size they were and what backspacing
1979 Jeep CJ5 with 304 V8, T18 Transmission, Dana 20 Transfer case with TeraLow 3:1 gears, 4.88 axle gears, Detroit Locker up front and Ox Locker in back with 1 piece axle shafts, 36" SuperSwamper SX Tires, Shackle reversal, MileMarker Hydraulic winch, MSD 6A ignition.
Yes it's 5x5.5
to measure it you have to go from the center of one stud to the outer edge of the opposite. Like thisl:
The reason is these lug nuts are in a circle. You must measure 2 opposite sides of the circle. This works out if there are an even number of lug nuts. If there are an odd number of lugs then no 2 are opposite. The above way to measure is the best compromise to make the measurement.
Back spacing is 3.5"
