I finally got a build thread going well at least showing the tear down. In general what are good sources for bolts. Torque specs and using lock tire etc

It is the bible. You need one.

Factory service manual for all your torque specs

We have our FSM for the 67 impala on CD as well as paper. I find I prefer the paper. Easier to use in the garage. Otherwise I just print the pages I need and get them oily and toss them when done. I do not have a laptop to use out there and get dirty.

Yeah that's best. Someone had a site for the manual and I was going to print one out, but I lost it. :(

When I took apart my frame many of my bolts had sheared. I tried to keep sorted what went where. I’m getting ready to bolt the spring hangers to the frame. I have all new bolts. I think they are 7/16 but they seem tight. Does anyone know before I try and chase the thread and ruin them?

The spring shackle bolts are 7/16-14x1. I have seen a lot of guys break those front spring shackles after wheeling with aftermarket springs right where the clearance hole is for the rivet. So I would have to suggest an aftermarket shackle or weld in some gussets to hold them together.

Thanks. I chased the threads and loosely bolted up for now. The rear bolt is a little longer original I think as this is where the trailer hitch mounted best I can recall. New shackles and pivot bolt also loosely in place
