I have a narrowed Dana 44 on my 79 CJ. It has 6 bolt caliper bracket from the 77 CJ with the bigger rotors. I have to pump the pedal to get them to work. I have changed everything except the right from caliper. Bled the brakes 50 times. Any ideas for me. Thanks

Well, if you have bled your lines (properly) and you have to pump up pedal, then I would suspect a failed internal seal in the MC.

If you have a vacuum assist booster, you would just have a hard pedal closer to the floor but wouldn't have to pump.

This of course assumes you have no leaking fluid anywhere, right?

Just how did you bleed these brakes, and what fluid are you using?
Did you bleed the MC before the install?
