I am upgrading my 1966 CJ5 to Dana 30 front diif, and need some info.
Does the flexable hose to wheel cylinder need a washer?

Should be a tapered flare into the wheel cylinder.
 
No, As 73CJ said it's a flair fitting.
 
jf it is not a inverted flair fitting, then it needs a
"crush washer", a copper washer of the correct size
