I am looking for suggestions on how to bring my factory 1981 CJ7 metallic brown paint back to life. I know this jeep has not been waxed or even washed since 2003 so almost 10 years.

After a good washing, what should be my next steps, rubbing compound, clay bar, wax?

Any and all suggestions are appreciated!

Yes. Just use a lite compound you don't know who thick the paint is. :)

They make a product called final cut, it is a compound just very fine, it is a liquid, comes in a bottle like a wax.

They also make some liquid wax called cleaning wax. It is even finer than the final cut, more chemical than abrasive.
