Can you add a tailgate?

My '79 CJ5 has the tub with a solid back... no tailgate. How big of a pain in the butt would it be to find one and add it?

I don't think it would be to difficult.The surround is available as are the safety chains and covers ,hinges,tailgate. Just have to remove solid piece and weld in surround. I had a M38A1 many years ago and wished I had a tailgate although the solid back is strong. Spot weld cutter is a most.
