Center Console Ammo Can -

I hate not having anything to rest my arm on - guess I am getting old!

This ammo can is perfect for a little storage - and armrest and much cheaper than Tuffy! (I had a Tuffy and it was broken into many years ago)

$15 bucks and elbow grease -

Now the seats are a different story...just not enough room!

I knew someone would ask - the ammo can does not have what caliber - just the big ole "Empty" sprayed over everything! it is deep - and hinged in the back - so perfect for a pistola and some ammo -

They serve food in the "Gentlemen's" club. No need in getting mayo on the 1911!

Getting back to the original topic, an ammo box is a great storage container for a CJ. I use mine for the winch controller, gloves, bottle jack, and a few tools.

Yep, I put the new "big" plastic glove box in and it holds quite a bit - of course I got that in and the radiator started leaking so - now to fab! So much for hopin for seats...

I think that is a 20mm ammo can but I won't bet lunch on that.

Great idea. I'm doing this. I lost the glove box in my 59 CJ5 because i wanted to keep the dash stock looking and have a stereo. So, i put the stereo in a blank i made for the glove box.

Totally sweet - on my list is the dash - former owners = too many holes! I like that ! and the rhino floor! another thing on my list!

been doing some research tonight. Been looking at the 20 mm ammo can with removalable lid. Saw where it was hinged on one end and is a bit lower than cornfed's can. figure i'll add a nice cushioned pad on top.

Yep, mine is hinged and you can slide the top over and off. I know - mine is a hair high and would be higher with a nice cushion - make sure ya send us all pictures when ya install!

Cornfed you inspired me. I got a 20 mm ammo can on the bench. But i'm gonna got it down four inches and cut the top into two pieces and add a piano hinge. I figure i'll weld down one end and the other will hinge up. I'll add a hasp to lock it and a cushion on top.
