Chevy 350 fuel line

Chevy 350 fuel line
The three port Chevy fuel pump was used on older model 350's to ensure that a constant supply of fuel went to the carb. :) During idle less fuel is needed. During full throttle all the fuel you can get was needed. So the fuel pump actually pumps more fuel than is needed all the time. Thus the reason for the third port - a return line. ;) This kept the pump from pushing to much fuel / pressure to the carb while at idle. You can replace this with a 2 port fuel pump (NAPA should have the correct interchange numbers), and eliminate the return line at the pump. :) I doubt that you'll ever get the 350 cranked up enough to starve it of fuel in a Jeep. Now if your building a rock bouncer? That's a different story.[/QUOTE
thanks alot peanut butter, I did go with the two port from napa !

Pretty much ALL, FPs flow at a higher rate(GPM)than what is needed.
