On this day 35 years ago Chrysler made AMC a deal it couldn't refuse, all of the articles are dated the 10th, but the deal was made today.


Chrysler Corp. yesterday announced plans to buy American Motors Corp. for a total of more than $1.5 billion in a deal that would reduce to three the number of home-grown U.S. car manufacturers.
