Anyone have experience removing turn signal switch ? Have wheel removed....down to a plastic cover....... How does this cover remove ? Thanks....rebuild on hold till this resolved.

With a special tool sold at O'Reilly's I was able to remove and replace the turn signal switch and the new one works fantastic. I would strongly suggest that you take pics as you remove each piece. It will make it much easier to re-install. Also, when you get down to the little retainer ring.....it was easy to remove by using one flat head screwdriver to open the ring just a bit and the second small flathead to move around the ring to pop it free. That will be the toughest part of the install. When you try and remove the wiring it is necessary to remove the cover that holds the steering wheel shaft to the dash. By wrapping the connector with duct tape it was easier to pull it up thru the steer wheel cover and out the top. You can cut if your sure your not going to re-use it. When you go to install the new one.....definitely wrap the the new plug with duct tape....then you can use a long flathead screwdriver to gently push it down thru the assembly to the connection plug at the bottom of the steer wheel assembly. Re-connect and re-bolt the bracket and 6 bolts that holds up the assembly and your set. Thanks again for the PDF file....it made it simple.

You can make the ring plate compressor yourself, just make a "U" with a hole in the center(size of the steering will shaft)

When you remove the old turn sig harness, tie a strong wire or string to the connector BEFORE you pull it up. Then you take that string off and tie it to your new connector and pull on the string to bring the connector back down the steering column.
