OK, So it dawned on me today as I was begining to install my new Mopar MPI that maybe I was doing this whole thing backwards? Should I have just bought a new Jeep(whatever they call them now) and just mount a CJ tub on the thing? I know it would be a 7 and not the 5 I have but whats a few inches? Well with any luck it will run like a new one when I get done and I won't have spent too much more than new. I"m crossin' my fingers. :booze:
 
I think it would work on a TJ frame with a little custom body mount and a small bit of clearancing.
 
You would just have to deal with all of the electronics, a whole mess of wiring, and it would no longer be as simple.

Thanks for that, maybe I'm not crazy then. I'll just keep adding electronics and stuff to the CJ untill it's not simple anymore either.

You would at least know what you are adding, and what it takes. TJ's weren't too bad, but somewhere along the line, Chrysler started with sharing the load of systems, which causes it's own issues, and makes simple t/s a pain. I can't recall what the exact terminology they use for it.
 
If you want the look of a CJ put marker lights in a TJ's Grille. Or do what I did own both .
