Beats me why he didn't at least knock him out and then hold him for the cops.

Its easy to say you can detain someone for over 45 minutes. I can barely get friends to stay that long.

yeah I admit I would have beat the tar out of him and used Zip-Ties to hog tie his *** on the concrete.

Then eat his bag of Almond Joy in front of him :chug:

Then release him and tell him next time I will teach him americana and introduce him to the film Deliverance.

I took the tire carrier and bumperettes off of the Limited to make more room in the garage for both Cjs. I have a Yj tub and the Cj hardtop that came with the Laredo in the garage as well. I need just a couple more inches clearance to close and lock the door.

I'll get it. :) Things like this just bug me big time. I already had one Cj stolen and thats where alot of the anger comes from. .

I would have had to pull the haunted jeep thing and said something like,
"Hey MF leave me alone and get the F out of me." and than started hitting on the floor from underneath.:D

"Super safe neighborhood" ???? This is ny city. A cesspool of trash. I wouldn't live there WITHOUT a vehicle, let alone with.
Glad the thug was caught.

did they even charge him with anything? After all he only displayed and threatened to use a deadly weapon. Yes, even a kitchen knife is a deadly weapon. Why wouldn't it be, in my kitchen, knives make short work of, meat, poltry and vegitable matter why wouldn't they do the same to a human being. Unfortunately the courts are plugged with criminals so many aren't even slapped on the hand for serious crimes.

Hey "Old Dog" noe that's funny! :grinjeep: For eveybody else, unless you've been there it is easy to say what you would do. Not many people can react to an intruder in a way that would prevent him from leaving and keep everybody from getting hurt. These things are best left to the police. Even if you do the right thing, chances are you'll end up in court, either civil or criminal, or both. Anyway, I like the ghost thing! Rod

Your right PB. It's also a shame a person can't protect they're property and life and limb with out the threat of the a-hole that caused the problem trying to get retribution by suing you in court. And don't even get me on the whole trespassing law, what a joke.

When I was living on Long Island I remember that just about anywhere in the New York City area if your vehicle broke down on either the Interstate or a Parkway by the time you could go find a phone (before cell phones) and get back, your rig would be stripped and siting on blocks. It seemed like the marauders were cruising the roads waiting for a score. There’s a reason I’m a big Dirty Harry fan……..

It's a shame that you could end up being the one in jail or sued for trying to protect your property. The crooks have more right's than we do now days.

Yep, I hear ya on this one. 1983 I, as a police officer in Lufkin Texas, shot and killed a guy in the line of duty. Everything was alright at first, then politics and race became an issue, neither had anything to do with what happened. But I faced criminal charges of 20 years and a 3 million dollar civil suit. Came out of both inocent, but it cost me a lot more than money. So I joined the Army, now it is the same way. :( Rod

I knew a guy that broke down on the thruway in NY and he had the hood up looking at the engine when the car started bouncing up and down. He came around the back and two guys were jacking up the car. He said, "What are you doing." and they replied, "It's cool. You can have whatever you want up there we're just going to take the tires."

Thats pretty funny as long as its not your Jeep. :D

Try it in Texas and see what happens...:chug:
Yeah, tell me about it...Ah, I miss Texas. :chug:

This does get my blood to boiling, too. Never had a vehicle stolen, but I did have a YJ that some tick turd helped himself to some of my tools. :censored: I'm not entirely sure why they put door locks on them when they had soft tops, but I did actually use them. I go out to my Jeep one morning, getting ready to go in to work, and I find it odd that some of the papers and things that I had in the console were out on the passenger seat. Then I noticed that my cup holders (aka change holders) were missing all the silver change...not the pennies, just the nickels, dimes, and quarters. The sun visors were down....thought, "uh, oh..." Turned around and looked in the back, my tool box was open, and my floor jack had been jacked.

And I thought I was safe from theifs, being on a Marine Corps station. Then someone told me "there was only one theif in the Corps...every one else is just trying to get their s**t back." Ha...I was amused, lemme tell ya.

Come on back. We have plenty of room!:chug:
Terrible about your stuff. As a kid, I was hunting with my Dad. Some guy pulled up to the fence about 400yds away, and came on over to hunt without permission I will add...

Daddy sent a .270 bullet between the guy and fence about three feet behind him. He remembered he was on the wrong side pretty quick and made a hasty retreat! No problems after that on that lease. Warning shots work on occasion.:D

That is a damn shame. Race baiters are the worse form of racists in my opinion. People die everday in shootings for all kinds of reasons, but only a few get pushed to national media when it suits a race baiters chance of getting more attention. Tryvon martin here in Florida is a prime example. OMG media spotlight... we had a white 6 month old child shot in the face by 2 african americans trying to rob their mother and zero media "it wasn't racial.. that was normal." Sometimes I wish I could get my jeep and go live in the woods.
