Replaced the broken fiberglass windshield frame in my project because it was broken in a accident, Any way the wires for the wiper motor on the fiberglass one, the previous owner drilled a hole at the bottom of the windshield frame to attached to motor. Picked up a complete metal frame and glass complete without wiper motor and I don't see a hole at the bottom of the metal frame for the wires. Am I missing something or just drill a hole at the bottom of the frame? All help will be appreciated.

don't know what year it is they ran wire a few ways through the years my 54 has a little hole with a rubber grommet in the cowl behind the windshield but mine has vacuum motor wipers but you prob could use the same kind of idea for the wires instead of a hose like mine

From looking at this pict it looks like it comes out the top of the dash

Hmmmm...So if you lay the windshield down on the hood and ride like that you need extra wire I guess? Appreciate the picture 54cj3b, but I still can't tell exactly...anyone else? or maybe another pic? Don't mean to be a pain in the.....

Here s another option

thing I don't like about this option is having that wire run across the windshield frame like this to me it looks tacky

this is a 80 and it comes out top of dash to motor on windshield frame

been trying to find one folded down so you get a better idea but no luck finding one yet

mine comes out the top of the dash and than to the motor. This sandwichs the wires between the dash and the windshield frame. I don't know if this is stock or from the PO.

on the 70 mine goes through a grommet into the frame

Ok guys thanks. Here is a pic of a wrangler. Looks like it comes out on top of the dash and gets sandwiched between the dash and windshield frame. So I guess I'll go this route. Appreciate all the replys very much.

Just above the dash there is a 1/2 X1 inch hole about 6-8 inches from the left side that the wires go through this is on a '77 CJ5 . Hope you can see it.

That's exactly how mine is on my '76
