CJ5 Folks, where do you keep your doors on a road trip?

I'm headed out on a road trip in my beloved CJ5 , I'm going to want to take along my doors. Around town I just leave 'em at home, but the weather could easily turn foul on the trip, and having doors would be swell.

Other than throwing them in the back (holy cow the back is small, and the one piece doors are huge!) I thought about just putting them between the top bows and the roof, as the side and rear curtains will be rolled up so there won't be much tension in the top (room for those darn door handles).

I ask, because I might have overlooked a simple solution!

I just but them in the back I don't know where else you could put them.

I would think that they could be somehow strapped to the rear tire in some fashion.

I have seen them in different locations mounted in the back inside.

I put mine behind the rear seat. Next time you need to re-top the Supertop two piece door help a lot.

Having an 8 sure helps when tossing the doors in the back. I have two piece doors and usually break them up into the four parts and set them up behind my bulkhead/seats.

I have seen something fabbed that held the doors while plugged into the hitch receiver.

Ended up just leaving them on! It was cold and windy on the way out.
I'm sure I'll just throw em in the back on top of the rest of the gear on the way home, if it warms up!!!!
We drove from Vancouver out to Penticton, where I'm going to do some exploring.
