CJ5 Soft Top Options

Looking for options here. We have a 79 CJ5 with a Best Top soft top with the two piece doors that has seen better days. I would like to replace it but the only thing I can find is black with one piece doors. We really want the spice color to match the seats. Am I Limited to black? No one sells two piece doors any more?

i just bought a brand new bestop super top with 2 piece doors in tan a month ago and love it.

they are available everywhere sometimes you have to look a little harder for tan. i bought mine at the local 4 wheel parts store and it took them quite awhile to find they could get it. don't know why everyone wants black, too hot inside for me.

How about calling a couple of car upholstery shops and talk about putting new fabric on the frame. get any color you want. I am sure you have seen the price of a new top but for that much money you may very well be able to have it custom made. Two toned maybe? tinted windows??

Thanks Hondo but I was hoping to get the replacement top since I already have the hardware. I did not want to drop a grand on a top. It may be the only way to go though...

IO, I ad not consderd an upholstery shop. I have a place I use for my boat. I'll drop in and ask about that.

keep us posted, I don't really need a top yet but I am very interested in what you learn.
