CJ7 86 vs TJ Rubicon

CJ7 86 vs TJ Rubicon
I have a JK now but miss my Rubi TJ 2003 (Sarge). By far the best Wrangler ever made to take off road. It took me every where with out making me pay for a tow truck. It also pulled a K5 1.5 hr home after doing a 8 out of 10 trail. The JK is a great 4x4 stock. The stock Sahara 4x4 system will make u think it is Limited slip front and rear. Once the big meats go on watch out it will break. I now have a dyna track pro rock Dana 44 front with 4.88 and ARB. RCV axle shafts and HD ball joints. Which is getting closer to the Rubi (which had all the mods). I have a FC 170 1959 but have not be able to drive it (I just got it and am wanting to put a V8 into it and make it 2wd )

The 4 point coil spring platform is far superior to any leaf spring platform.

I agree with you about the suspension being better but the best modern jeeps are not even made by "Jeep".

I would say no. The Yj swap is the way to go on a CJ.
