Help CJ7 hardtop

I've got a 1979 CJ7 with a hard top that is making me lose my mind. I bought this cj from a fella that had replaced the tub and it needed finished being put back together. I put a new windshield frame in it and I can't seem to get the hard top to line up to the windshield. It fits on the tub portion perfect, but where the windshield frame sits inside the hard top, it's off to one side like an inch or so.

I've tried loosening the hinges and brackets and still can't seem to get it to line up. I'm beginning to wonder if this jeep was in a small wreck at some point and it tweaked the firewall without any real damage.

If anyone has some pointers or advice, lay em on me before I scrap the hard top and buy a soft top

You could try shimming the body mounts. Not sure if that would help or not.

Thanks for mentioning that, it never even crossed my mind. Looking at the front of the jeep, it does seem to lean to that side.
