CJ7 Laredo Authentic Wheel Suggestions
Hello,
Recently bought an '86 CJ7 Laredo with the chrome grill. It came with some rims that had 12 small circles which I don't feel match the original look of how the CJ7 came out. I'm looking to put on the classic chrome 8 Spoke wheels similar to the attached images. Looking online, the site I keep coming back to is the one on Jegs.com U.S. Wheel 75 Series Chrome 8 Spoke Wheels | JEGS and on summitracing.com http://bit.ly/2vSueOi The "US Wheel 75 Series Chrome 8-Spoke Wheel" seems to be its official name. Just wanted to make sure this should be the "classic CJ7 " rim I should be looking at. Are there other sites which have a rim that might be more authentic looking?
I believe there are 15" rims on there now but I was going get them in 16" so I think I need the 16" x 7" with a bolt circle of 5 on 5.50"
Please let me know if there is a better, more authentic rim, I should be getting (other than buying originals off of ebay).
Second part - any suggestions on tires. Would the classic look be putting Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac or BFGoodrich All-Terrain tires on with white lettering facing outward? Some online look pretty sweet. Thoughts?
Thank you.
Shawn
